Is the Cover Letter important? VERY, is the answer.

It is a known fact that the HR will glimpse through your CV in 10 seconds. So if you wish to win them over the one tool is the cover letter. The HR reads through the cover letter, no matter what. Simply because people tend to give important information in their cover letter, (such as why there is a gap in their professional career,) something which they can't include in their resume.

Use it to your advantage, give a crisp summary of your career in 4-5 lines.
